1950s Pink Silk Platter Hat
Description
What a beautiful hat for spring! From the 1950s, this vintage platter hat is made of pink, black, and white silk gathered into pleats around the broad, flat brim, with a smooth flat crown in the middle. The hat is held on the head with wire clips. It's in very good vintage condition; the fabric has no tears that I could find but has one small, light spot toward the back of the crown. Some of the red fabric covering on the clips has worn off. It has no tags.The hat is about a 9 inch (23 cm) circle (a little narrower front to back) and 3 inches (7.6 cm) tall. It's adjustable to fit most heads.
