Taking off earrings
Description
I went to an outer island for a long weekend, and I saw lots of eagles hovering above my head and I came back and made this pair of earrings. They are asymmetrical because in nature, nothing is in perfect symmetry, and that's what makes it interesting. After I studied animation, I am obsessed with observing nature. One of the golden rule in animation is overlapping, means not everything happens at the same time.
When you watch slow motion of birds taking off, their wings has a bit of delay from one wing to the other when they spread it.
This pair of earrings is to capture that split second moment when the tips of one wing is fully spread, and the other is rolling out. The next second, the bird is in the air. So I call this pair "Taking off".
They are all completely handmade using sterling silver (925) in a shinny reflective finish on the front. The back is brass brush satin matte finish.
The ear hooks you get will be brand new.
