Description

Attention WCS Guitar fans! Ha, all 3 of you. I am well along on 4 new all original axes that I am just thrilled about. Since I will soon have many guitars to play, I thought I could part with one. So, I thought I would sweeten the deal a little bit.

This guitar now ships ready to play in a sweet new flight case. Case and shipping in the Continental US are FREE! To see pics of the case check out my new blog here:http://wcswood.blogspot.com/

Also, for a limited time, I am in a position to offer a full money back guarantee on this guitar. If you are not completely satisfied with this instrument, return it within 15 days for a full refund of your purchase price.

Technical update, Mar '09: My son Orion(15) plays almost everyday and thus makes a wonderful tester for my guitars. It has been of great benefit to me to know how my guitars stand up to some use. Besides, with a woodworker for a father he has to do without just about everything else, so this is his one little benefit.

This guitar has been nicely played in and thoroughly tested. I have just brought it into the shop for a going over and I am very happy with what I have to report:
First, Orion has been very careful and the finish is in excellent condition. You can tell it's been played a little, but it is still brand new. But I have still reduced the price a bit, to be fair.
Orion likes to bend a lot, and not a string has broken. In fact the strings are in great shape at all points of contact. This means my saddles and nuts are well notched. Orion reports no incidences of any strings ever jumping slots and never any buzz.
Neck relief had increased so an adjustment was made to the truss rod. Initial set up required the rod to be completely loose, the 3 piece neck and laminate fingerboard have proven to be a very stiff construct. To get my action right again required just barely engaging the rod. Action is at 1/16" on the nose which frankly is way to low for me.
Frets are tight, all the way up and down, no buzz, smooth.
Pots and switch are all functioning normally and the wooden knobs show no signs of loosening. Jack connection is firm and secure. Intonation is spot on.
All of the veneer seams, bindings and inlays are tight and smooth, this after hanging in a home heated with a wood stove and forced hot air for 9 months. My cold press laminate construction coupled with polished shellac makes for a very stable instrument.
All in all, I am very happy with this guitar and have a high degree of confidence that you will love it as well.

"Eat Your Heart Out" has it all, semi-hollow "strip-built" body rings forever with endless sustain. Triple bookmatched bird's eye maple top, the same in figured walnut for the back. Curly walnut fingerboard, bound and inlaid with bird's eye maple. Hot, handwound vintage PAF's, coil taps, phase switching, bass bypass on vol, locking tuners, jumbo frets, and more.

"Eat Your Heart Out" is made out of about 75% salvaged cherry and walnut, for a very eco-friendly guitar. Constructed entirely by hand, with extensive use of hand tools for a true one of a kind.

Technical statistics: Body: 5 ply laminate with 3 ply cherry core, 3/32" hand made veneer top and back. 18 1/2 X 13 1/4" across lower bout. Total weight: 8 1/4lbs and just over 1 1/2" thick semi hollow body. Body routs are similar to the Warmouth Telecaster semi hollow body.
