The set consists of the ample sized pot for a generous single serving, a fitted lid to the pot, and a perfectly portioned cup, which the pot fits right onto, forming a single unit. Hand made here in Vermont by Susan Benedict, artisan and owner of Native Tongue Pottery in Brandon, VT. With a BA from Albion College and a MFA from the University of Illinois, Susan is both a seasoned adventurer and accomplished artist. Of her work, Susan says "My drive is to express my tongue, my language, my life and my passion through whatever materials I choose or choose me at the time. My images at first glance appear to be abstract but are in fact common symbols and language of a culture 5,000 to 10,000 years ago. I use archeological texts as the base for my images. My designs and images are feminine in their origin and intent."
