70s VICTORIAN Revival lace and eyelet LEG-O-MUTTON sleeve sweetest mini dress

Description

Excellent vintage condition-- lined, cotton eyelet; soft poly-blend lace (this is NOT scratchy lace); attached self-belt; elastic waist; keyhole back opening; high collar closes with hook-and-eye closures; back zipper; intact ILGWU tag; very minimal amount of discoloration around inside collar (does NOT show through or impact wearability in ANY way).

Because the fabric of the body and neck/sleeve areas vary, the lace part looks more aged (kind of a mellowing of the white)-- it has a more of an ivory appearance next to the pristine snow white of the cotton. This, to me, makes it more interesting, as it allows both fabrics to stand apart from one another. Of course, this is my opinion only. I've shown it worn with the sash in front, or tied in a bow in back.

Measures 14 inches across shoulders, 18 inches across bust, 11- 14 inches across waist (has stretch due to elastic), free hips, sleeves are 23-24 inches (remember this has puffy sleeves), total length is 36 inches.

I have worn this dress, to many compliments, in warmer weather and in winter (it looks exceptionally stunning with dark tights and platforms). A countless array of accessorizing options will lend themselves to the way you wish to wear this-- kind of like the saying: "When she was good she was very, very good. But when she was bad, she was better."
