Welcome to my etsy store. You have found the original Beadboxman home of cigarbox bead storage. I have been selling these beautiful and functional bead storage boxes on eBay, lampworketc, and justbeads for a couple of years. I make them from cigarboxes. Most are crafted of solid woods, usually aromatic Spanish cedar.

I use 1/16 new mandrels to support the beads. This size mandrel works well with beads made on 1/16 and larger mandrels. The base of the box is lined with a matboard. A custom cut foam mat is provided to protect the beads during transport. I will also include removable/replaceable stoppers to place on the ends of the mandrels to keep the beads from slipping off when lifted. These boxes are not only good for transporting and storing beads but making useful selling displays as well.

The photos tell the story. I will list the size of the box in inches, brand of the cigar box and total inches of bead storage. The ruler in the photo should help confirm the size. Postage will be $7 for the first beadbox and $1.75 for each additional beadbox. If I overcharge by over a dollar, I will refund the difference. I ship a few times a week.

Comments/Rarity: Nice sturdy box, no clasp, friction fit closure. Not sure if it is all paper covered MDF or an extra firm cardboard top.


For most boxes I will have more of them than I am listing so if you want a matched set let me know and I will list additional ones or offer something similar. A few are unique or hard to come by and I will try to warn you if that is the case. (Usually the price I am asking is a good hint as to if I think it is unusual or hard to find, a typical good box will run $10) I hope to keep at least 20 boxes up at a time. Everyone has their favorites. Varieties include natural wood, painted wood, big ones, little ones, shallow ones, deep ones, frugal cardboard ones, and trays. Personally, I prefer larger flat boxes with a latch in natural wood. For show displays the deeper boxes show off the beads a bit better, but take up a bit more room. A mixture of shorter and taller boxes can make a dramatic sales display. The space below the mandrels can be used for storage of other items. There is a photo of an open box full of Bluff Road beads in each auction to show you what the boxes look like full of beads. Of course these beads are not included.
