Description

This mug was made with white porcelain clay and hand-painted with black slip (liquid clay which is applied like paint before the firing process) to form a beautiful black vine pattern on the surface. The interior is a rich and juicy red hue. When I made this mug, I was inspired by Chinese and Japanese art that you often see with decorative florals.

This piece measures 4.25 inches tall and 3.75 inches wide at the rim. High fired at Cone 10 for long life and strength. Smooth glassy surface, feels great to hold!
