Description

The square spirals are two shades of purple. The dots are deep green, lemon-lime and white.

Fine Details: I cut my whorls from actual boards, using a drill press with a hole saw--these are NOT craft store blanks! Each is then carefully shaped and sanded to a smooth, snag-free finish prior to further decoration. I use tiny, solid brass eye screws (opened and polished) rather than bulky cup hooks. Once complete, each spindle is sealed with several coats of premium satin polyurethane, hand-rubbed with fine steel wool between coats. Each spindle is signed, dated and the weight in fine print on the bottom of the whorl.

This spins like a dream! The light weight makes it perfect for those slippery and/or short staple luxury fibers. Wonderful for spinning lace and fingering weights.

An awesome choice for the beginner (much better than those clunky student spindles) or the collector.
