A frosted aqua glass doggie with a most piercing stare, is set in a handformed bezel of sterling silver on a sterling disk.... The tiny vintage (30+ years old...It has been suggested that this is closer to 60-70 years old) glass "face" is set with tiny crystals for eyes, giving this a little bit of a mischievous glint when the light catches it just right.

Did you know that the Boston Terrier breed is nicknamed "The American Gentleman" and that it is a result of selectively breeding bulldogs and english terriers in the Boston area during the 1870's? I didn't until I was trying to confirm what kind of dog this was... The eyes looked familiar and the muzzle reminded me of a boxer or a frenchie...But it's unmistakably Boston Terrier...

Disk hangs from 18" of light weight (but sturdy) sterling silver chain...I can make the chain shorter or longer, upon request. The clasp is a sterling silver lobster clasp...

All of the metal is oxidized and brushed, with the area underneath the Boston Terrier head left shiny and sealed to give the Lalique style glass more punch...

As with all of my pieces incorporating vintage materials, this is a limited edition...I only have a few of these bits of glass...
