Fantastical Journey

Description

It lay in the bottom of the jewelry box her great aunt's attorney had mailed to her. Strange, she didn't recall having ever seen her eccentric aunt wear this necklace and it was a particularly beautiful and unusual design. A grape jade teardrop stone embellished with lepidolite beads, seed and bugle beads in violet, irridescent gray and purple, hung from a silver three-ring connector as the focal point. The necklace itself consisted of more lepidolite stones enhanced by beadweaving, amethyst beads and hematite beads. The focal component and necklace attached to the connector with more beadweaving.

Jade for clarity and courage, lepidolite for calm and acceptance, amethyst for intuition and hematite for protection and grounding. Mesmerized by its loveliness, she lifted the necklace, clasped it about her neck and stepped to the mirror. As she gazed at her reflection, the room behind her vanished and she was suddenly transported in time to the most wondrous place she'd ever envisioned.

This necklace is approximately 20 inches (50.8 cm) long to the connector and the connector and focal piece add another 4.5 inches (11.43 cm) to the length. The focal component by itself is 2.5 x 2 inches (6.3 x 5.4 cm).
