An Autism Fairy Inspired by Arthur

Description

This little fairy was inspired by a friend I've made at Etsy, talented artist, Arthur Simo, who each day shows us the gifts autism can offer. Please visit arthursimo.etsy.com to see his amazing work! Arthur and his mom have been an inspiration to all, promoting autism awareness through art and their wonderful treasuries.

Using colors inspired by Arthur's art, I've created a fairy to support their cause. I've used an amazing hand painted roving from Elliebelly for an amazingly soft outfit. I needle felted a heart and our tiny friend is clutching a little felt puzzle piece, working for the answers to this puzzle.

Arms and legs are wrapped in embroidery floss of different colors to honor Arthur's fabulous creativity. They're wrapped around a wire armature so the body can be gently posed. Individual fairies will vary slightly in color, but all are made from the same fabulous roving. I will attach a pin to the back, upon your request.

Fairy is faceless in the Waldorf tradition. If you would like me to add a face, please convo.
