Big, plump, vintage lucite
marbled rose red teardrops, (they are 14x17mm). These lucite beads, with their marbled finish and fabulous colour, which reminds me so of oldfashioned lipstick, are just adorable! I chose to simply add little sterling rounds and handmade sterling hoops, so they can shine alone!

Vintage lucite was a high quality plastic used in costume jewelry from the 1940s. Although more substantial than other plastic beads, it is surprisingly light weight and has a luscious shine and feel to it that makes it very different from modern plastic. Lucite beads are often seamless, as they are cut from a tube of lucite rather than press molded.
