Plucky Penguins have a magical way of waddling straight into your heart.

These incredibly soft bird dolls love to snuggle and could charm the pants off of the grumpiest of polar bears. Made from felted, upcycled black cashmere and white corduroy - Plucky Penguins (& the person who creates them) give a hoot about the environment.

Each Plucky Penguin is handcrafted with care from a pattern that I made up all by myself. As each doll is made from scratch by me, please expect slight variations from one penguin to the other. Take a look at close up pictures on the right to see the thoughtfully hand stitched details on their faces. Plucky Penguins' under wings are accented with a patterned, velvety upholstery fabric which makes them slightly poseable. Fun!

Perfect for cuddling, Plucky Penguins measure approximately 11 inches high and 16 inches around their cute, wee bottoms. Outstretched wingspan is about 7 inches.

While Plucky Penguins are quite sturdy and have lots of love to share - they are meant for snuggling and a soft touch vs. rough play. Although there is little risk of choking hazard, beaks and wings are hand sewn on without glue and care should be taken.

You will want to know that all fabrics used in this project have been prewashed and were stitched together in a smoke-free home. Plucky Penguins prefer spot cleaning and hand washing when needed.

Your Plucky Penguin will come with a hand knit scarf of your choice. Let me know in the "Notes to Seller" what color you would like. There are suggested colors in the final photo to the right, but if you have a special preference, let me know. I have quite a yarn stash!
