Calico Patchwork Baby Blanket - Half Pint

Description

This little flannel-backed baby blanket is named for Laura Ingalls, of Little House on the Prairie. Her pa's nickname for her was Half Pint. When I was making this sweet blanket, I kept thinking of Laura and Mary in the little bed they shared up in the loft. Don't the sweet calico prints on this striped patchwork blanket remind you of the blankets that covered their bed? So quaint and reminiscent of simpler times.

This adorable blanket is backed with a pretty ivory flannel. It is so soft and cuddly and would make a little one very content and happy! Would also make a good blankie for a toddler as well. This would also be a perfect nursing cover that would fold up into a small bundle to stick into your diaper bag. You could even give this to a wheelchair-bound friend or elderly relative as a lap blanket. Lots of possibilities!

This would be make a wonderful, one-of-a-kind baby gift!

This cotton quilt washes very well in the washer and dryer.
