This diamond-shape, water clear ring features a Petoskey stone hand-picked from the shores of Spider Lake, Traverse City, Michigan. Petoskey stones are fossilized coral remnants found only in Northern Michigan. I've always loved the way they look, but I never really liked the presentation of them in jewelry. So here's my take on it--a mix of the very old with a modern resin profile.This is no mere plastic ring! The material used to cast this ring is UV stable with a high heat tolerance (won't yellow in the sun, and it won't soften with body heat). Because it is industrial grade urethane, it is scratch-resistant and practically shatterproof.
