The Kanoe is a 100% certified organic cotton hammock with a unique canoe shape that safely cradles and comforts your baby. A specialized weight-calibrated spring and hanging assembly enables the Kanoe to bounce and sway in response to the baby's movement, mimicking the sensation of being held and rocked by the parent. The Kanoe can also be bounced and rocked by hand, producing an enhanced level of motion that is effective in soothing and calming restless babies. The smooth response and ceiling-mount system of the Kanoe combine to provide an exceptional range of motion. Even the smallest children easily learn to create soothing, joyful movements.

Adjustable straps extend above the hammock and attach to the bottom ring of the specialized spring assembly. The entire assembly attaches to an eye lag which can be screwed into any solid structure, such as a ceiling joist or beam. The Kanoe can be relocated anywhere around the home by simply unhooking it from one eye lag and hooking it to one that has been installed elsewhere.

All the straps are adjustable for ceiling height and can be set to create a tilt for babies with reflux or colic.

As children get older (over 35 pounds), the spring needs to be removed and the Kanoe lowered so that it hangs just above the ground. They can then climb safely in and out, using the hammock as a comforting place to sit, play or nap.

The Kanoe is quick and easy to transport, rolling up in to a bag made of the same fabric.

The Kanoe includes: 2 stainless steel eye lags, the special Kanoe weight-calibrated spring for newborn up to 35 pounds (a child of 2 years of age), the adjustable upper webbing assembly with stainless steel hardware, the spreader/handle bar (hard wood bar with the Kanoe bar ends), 2 lower adjustable strap assemblies with hardware, the double layered of slightly peached (brushed) organic cotton canvas, 2 inner hard wood bars and detailed installation instructions(installation instruction also on our website: www.kanoe.us)

The Kanoe is so easy to wash! Simply unclip corner trigger snaps, take out the inner bars and throw it in your washing machine!
