Lace Doily Necklace

Description

This recycled glass glass necklace features a lace doily motif.

I handpaint the doily motif with a fine-tipped quill pen. The paints I use are traditional glass enamels, similar to china paints or ceramic glaze. They are fired in the kiln at 1300 degrees F and fuse permanently to the glass. They never fade. You can read more about this technique in my profile.

The glass in this necklace is 100% reclaimed glass, salvaged from a discarded picture frame. I cut, shape and fuse the glass by hand, then polish it to a smooth, glossy luster. This pendant is about 3" (7.6cm) wide and 1.5" (3.8cm) tall.

The chain is 100% sterling silver. I add a large lobster clasp that is easy to put on and take off.

The necklace is about 16 inches long. If you prefer a different length please tell me when you order. I can customize it to your size.
