Record Album Purse - B52s 1979

Rock Lobster! Now this is a purse for only the grooviest of you out there. Wouldn't it be perfect for a night out when you and your friends feel the need to karaoke?! This purse is made from the actual B52s debut album released in 1979. It features their first hit single Rock Lobster. The front cover on one side and the actual vinyl album on the other. Both are backed with a thin piece of board for a very durable bag about town. Since nothing should be wasted, I used the inside vinyl protector as a liner which has the lyrics to the songs. Both the outside cover and the inside liners are given a coat of varnish. The two sides are held together with black leather-like vinyl fabric and dome nickel rivets. I've accented the top sides of the fabric with a great piece of Midori ribbon to accent the cover. Handles are black vinyl tubing and ball chain. As with most items made from recycled goods (some of them pretty darn old), there can be some imperfections (some of us call it *character*).
