Erosion and Typography 2 (11 X 17 inch typographic print)

Description

This typographic print is second in a series of three, each of which explores the effects of erosion and weathering on the printed word.

The total print size is 11 by 17 inches, with a printed area of approximately 5 by 6 inches, not including the bits and pieces of eroded words eroding, cracking, falling and piling up. The image is printed on white, heavyweight (90-lb) Stonehenge paper.

The text itself is taken from a 1971 essay on experimental typography by the German designer and typographer Wolfgang Weingart, and is set in the Univers typeface. Univers was designed from 1954-57 by Adrian Frutiger.

The print will be shipped flat with hard backing for protection, and includes no frame. Paypal is recommended for fastest shipment (within 1 week of payment). Personal checks and money orders will be accepted, though with a necessary delay in shipment while everything clears the bank.
