Modern Pastel Drawing of Nude Female Model

Pastel drawing on textured paper, drawn from the live model.

When I draw from the live model, sometime I dive right in and just let the drawing develop. Sometimes I'll slow down, and stare for a minute or so - looking for large, interesting shapes or curvy, feminine lines. It's those moments that I pushed further in this drawing, sometimes abstracting the information.

I used a very bright palette in this piece - hot pink, fuscia, and periwnkle blues. I used soft pastels and Nupastel on a piece of rose-colored pastel paper than has a very fine sandpaper-like texture.

Original drawing, 9" x 12". Will come matted in white and ready to frame. Ships flat. Signed by me, the artist.
