Lace Hankie Photogram Block, No. 3

A unique 4" x 4" x 1.5" photo block ~

I am forever admiring my small collection of handkerchiefs, which belonged to my great aunt Lizzie. So I picked my favorites for a series of photogram prints. This is Lace Hankie No. 3, displayed on a thick block of cedar.

I printed the photogram in a black and white darkroom and then mounted the image on a square woodblock. Mounted and sealed with clear archival varnish, giving the surface a slight texture. The wood has been stained a rich, smooth walnut (semi-gloss). Ready to hang ~ or display freestanding on your desk, shelf or tabletop.

The combination of the black and white image with the lovely woodgrain create a simple but striking appearance.
