95g or 3 ¼ oz, this braid is a blend of scarlet, peaches, pinks and purples sandwiched between varying shades of green foliage make a garden full of roses in this top. It is yummy squishy Bluefaced Leicester, ideal for beginners and experienced spinners and also suitable for felting. As it is dyed in sections, you can strip the top lengthways for short lengths of colour or widthways at the colour changes for longer stripes.
As the weather has been so foul, I have only been able to capture a certain amount of the vibrancy and variation in these braids. Added to the fact that monitors all project colours differently, I have tried to describe colours as well to give you a mental picture. I think they’re prettier in reality!
I use Ashford dyes and a long, slow dye procedure in order to dye to saturation if not exhaustion. All the tops have had a number of washes to ensure little to no loose dye remains but there is a slight possibility that you would have a tinge in your washing water for the first wash, that is, a clear colour but not cloudy. Clear tint is just loose dye but cloudy water indicates dye failure and if you have any problems, by all means get straight back to me.
