All capes are machine sewn for durability, with the emblems sewn by hand for a more homemade look. My capes have a Velcro closure at the neck for safety. Capes measure 20" from neck to hem (fits kids aged 2-7).
The price is higher, because the fabric's is made from 100% Cotton High quality quilt fabric. For the girls I was thinking of the Heather Bailey Pop Garden collection's or Amy Butler Lotus or Daisy Chain. The boy's I was going to use the mocha fabric by Alexander Henry or there are some fun Moda Prints that have a retro feel. The emblem's with their name would be their initial, or I could a batman, superman, wonderwoman emblem. The initial would be made out of felt.
