The 1950's brought you the poodle skirt. For 2009 I bring you the poodle sweater. (Not just for poodles.)
An adoarble and fun light pink sweater, with a cute poodle applique which I have machine stitched to the sweater.
I have added a row of black at the neck and have tied a black kerchief above her right shoulder, made from sateen fabric.
I have stitched a black "yarn" leash leading from the black at the collar to the collar of the poodle, just like the old fashioned poodle skirts.
I have borderd the sweater in black, which really stands out against the light pink.
You can choose to have the white fun fur along the bottom edge and/or at the arm holes, or not to have it at all. Looks great both ways. (I also have light pink fur if you prefer.)
I have added a little pink and black design on the chest area as well.
This is an easy on-off, sleeveless, crew neck sweater that is light to medium weight, is super comfy, and can even be worn indoors. Short front for potty area. Dog's shoulder harness can be accessed through the sweater, above the poodle applique.
SIZE LIMITATIONS - I can make this sweater for a 5 to 20 lb dog.
NOTE - Due to the size of the applique, dog must have a BACK LENGTH of at least 9", and should weigh at least 5 pounds.
Maximum weight of 20 pounds, and maximum back length of 16" still apply.
MEASUREMENTS:
Please measure your dog carefully, with a soft tape measure, and with the dog standing.
Back length - from collar to just before start of the tail.
Girth - chest measurement from under the front legs and up around the back.
For custom sizing I will also need dog's weight and breed, if you know.
This sweater can be machined washed and dryed on delicate, or hand washed. Care instructions are included.
