I always handwash my socks regardless of fiber content, but you may machine wash this yarn in the gentle cycle in a garment bag and lay flat to dry. This yarn works up beautifully on needle sizes 0, 1, or 2. The yardage is enough for a pair of socks, but as different patterns require different amounts of yarn, you may want to check your yardage requirements before venturing.
This is a fingering weight yarn and may be used for items other than socks.
