Chore Chart

I have a chore chart that helps my children learn to pick up after themselves, to work hard, and to learn cleaning and organizing skills. I have made several over the years, but this has been the one we like the most.

Attached is a digital file of a sample chore chart and a blank chore chart. It is in a form where you can print it out and write in it, or type in your preferences as well as manipulate it to fit your family's needs before printing.

Option: Make a few versions of the chore chart, so the chore charts vary a little from each week. Then you can include some less frequent jobs to be accomplished.

My children have to do their chores, plus clean their rooms before they can play with friends or have screen time each day.
In the summer, I add jobs such as "Make muffins" and things that help my children learn new cooking/baking skills.

FYI: On my chore chart, the oldest child is at the top with the youngest at the bottom, so the jobs are more age appropriate.

I keep my chore chart on a clipboard that usually stays in the kitchen. The kids mark off the chores after they do them. It also helps to have the universal clipboard so I can check in on chores being done as well. This has worked great for my family.
