The Heart Behind Not Just Aunties 💜
Ciao a tutti! 💜 Sono Sarah e sono l'anima di Not Just Aunties.
Forse avrete notato che sono ufficialmente su Etsy da un po', ma mentre il cartello è appeso sopra la porta dal 2022, il negozio ha appena aperto i battenti. Ci sono voluti tempo, molto studio e tanto cuore per trovare la mia voce, il mio stile e la sicurezza di condividerlo con il mondo.
Dopo tre anni di apprendimento, tentativi ed errori e tanto caffè, sono finalmente pronta a condividere con voi i miei progetti pieni di gioia e colore. Ogni creazione è realizzata con amore e positività, con la speranza che vi porti un sorriso sulla giornata.
Not Just Aunties è nato nel 2022 quando mi sono resa conto che il mio lavoro d'ufficio dalle 9 alle 17 non soddisfaceva la mia piccola anima creativa. Avevo bisogno di qualcosa di nuovo, qualcosa di gioioso! Dopo molte ricerche, ho scoperto la stampa su richiesta e mi è sembrata subito la scelta giusta. Mi ha dato un modo per diffondere gioia, colore e un pizzico di allegria sfacciata attraverso design che fanno stare bene e fanno sorridere le persone. 💜
Da allora, ho imparato, progettato e costruito questo sogno attorno al mio lavoro quotidiano (e al mio ruolo di zia, di cui sono molto orgogliosa!). Dal design al marketing, dalla SEO alle parole chiave, ho messo il cuore in ogni aspetto di questa piccola attività. E ora, dopo tanto studio e notti insonni, ho finalmente steso il tappeto di benvenuto e ho aperto con orgoglio i battenti.
Per quanto riguarda il nome, i miei nipoti sono il mio mondo e mi hanno ispirato. Ho letto che "la creazione è meglio ispirata da ciò che ami", e all'inizio volevo disegnare per zie orgogliose come me. Ma con la crescita del marchio, ho capito che la gioia e l'espressione di sé non sono solo per le zie, sono per tutti! E così è nato Not Just Aunties.
Più di ogni altra cosa, voglio rendere orgogliosa la mia famiglia e dimostrare ai più piccoli che si può fare qualsiasi cosa se si è disposti a impegnarsi. È da qui che nasce la mia determinazione, ed è per questo che questo piccolo negozio significa così tanto per me.
Grazie per essere qui, per sostenere i sogni delle piccole imprese e per aver dato a Not Just Aunties la possibilità di brillare, anche se ci è voluto un po' di tempo per affermarci. 💜

Hello lovelies! 💜 I’m Sarah, and I'm the heart behind Not Just Aunties.
You might notice I’ve officially been on Etsy for a while, but while the sign’s been above the door since 2022, the shop has only just truly opened its doors. It’s taken time, a lot of learning, and a whole lot of heart to find my voice, my style, and the confidence to share it with the world.
After three years of learning, trial and error, and plenty of coffee, I’m finally ready to share my joy-filled, colourful designs with you. Every creation is made with love and positivity, with the hope it brings a smile to your day.
Not Just Aunties was born in 2022 when I realised my 9–5 desk job wasn’t fulfilling my creative little soul. I needed something new — something joyful! After a lot of research, I discovered print-on-demand, and it instantly felt right. It gave me a way to spread joy, colour, and a sprinkle of cheeky fun through feel-good designs that make people smile. 💜
Since then, I’ve been learning, designing, and building this dream around my day job (and my very proud role as an auntie!). From design and marketing to SEO and keywords, I’ve poured my heart into every part of this little business. And now, after lots of study and late nights, I’ve finally rolled out the welcome mat and proudly opened my doors.
As for the name, my niece and nephew are my world, and they inspired it. I read that “creation is best inspired by what you love,” and at first, I wanted to design for proud aunties like me. But as the brand grew, I realised joy and self-expression aren’t just for aunties — they’re for everyone! And so, Not Just Aunties was truly born.
More than anything, I want to make my family proud and show the little ones in my life that you can do anything if you’re willing to work for it. That’s where my determination comes from — and why this little shop means so much to me.
