❓ ABOUT PRECISION OF DIMENSIONS? All beads dimensions disclosed are the approximate nominal average of the entire strand of beads, rather than for each single bead. A strand of beads disclosed as 8mm may includes 7.8mm, 7.9mm, 8mm, or 8.1mm, etc. Size variation, may or may not be visually noticeable, is a normal result of sorting beads size.
❓ HOLE SIZE? All hole sizes disclosed are for reference only. Unfortunately, there is no production hole size information available at all, actual hole size always varies, and there is no way to ask for a specific hole size for the beads you want. However, typical beads hole size is "nominal 1mm", or 1.00 +/- 0.2mm for regular string. Smaller beads under 4mm may be drilled 0.5-0.8mm or even smaller. Larger beads above 8mm drilled 1.0-1.2mm. We DO NOT guarantee the actual hole size to be exact as disclosed. We DO NOT guarantee the drilling of each bead to be consistent and perfect. Chips around the hole is normal. If you don't accept what you received, return the entire strand in its original strung condition for a refund.
❓ HOW MANY BEADS in a typical 16" (400mm) strand? Since all temporarily strung beads are sold by strand as it is, not by loose beads, it's our policy NOT to actually count and guarantee how many beads in any particular strand.
However, for estimating quantity needed, here is the Rule of Thumb:
Option 1 (by Calculating): 400 divided by beads size, e.g. 10mm, you get 400/10, about 40 pieces, in a 16" (400mm) strand.
Option 2 (by Counting): Click the beads you want, find the picture showing a short section of beads stretched horizontally. The picture shows about 4" or 1/4 of a typical 16” strand. Count how many pieces and times 4 for a 16" strand. So, if counted 12, times 4, you can expect about 48 pieces in a 16" strand.
Both methods are just for a quick estimate, NO guarantee for accuracy. When estimating quantity needed, ALWAYS allow some pieces you don't like and won't use, and ALWAYS add extra quantity.
❓ BEADS SIZE CODES: XS/ 2mm 3mm; S/ 4mm 6mm; M/ 8mm 10mm 12mm; L/ 14mm 16mm 18mm; XL/ 20mm & up. Besides that, there are always something in between, so, we have size codes like S-M/ M-L/ L-XL/, etc. Not just for a quick glance, but also for a thorough search. Try searching XL/ L/ M/ S/ XS/ ... (with slash), you'll quickly pull items of similar size together.

Are your beads EXACTLY the same as that shown in the pictures?
NO. There is no picture that can 100% accurately show the actual appearance of merchandise. We are technically NOT able to guarantee the accuracy of picture presented in this shop.
However, without pictures, there will be no online shopping. You still can use our pictures as a reference to do your purchase. We, just like everybody else, are by no means able to send you the exactly same one shown in the picture.
Do you issue credit for "unusable" beads?
NO, because there is no unusable beads, unless it is broken. It is common to have some beads in a strand not suitable for a specific use for various reasons. "Not suitable" is not defective. We DO NOT guarantee every single beads to be perfect for any specific use. We therefore DO NOT issue credit for those "not suitable" beads. Our price always reflects the general quality of the entire strand, not every single bead. If the overall quality of the entire strand doesn't meet your expectation, you may return the entire strand in its original strung condition for a refund. We do not accept any loosen or partial strand returns.
Our Policy About Exchange
No exchange on Etsy system. A return and a new order are considered two separate orders. Refund from a return can't be applied to a new order. There is no link between any two orders on Etsy system. Buyers are to pay the return and the new order shipping charges.
Disclaimer About Grading for Semiprecious Stones
Grading for semiprecious stones quality is an intuitive visual inspection routine for differentiating and pricing purpose only. There is no market standard grading system. It's meaningless to compare gradings by two different companies. Your own visual inspection and judgement is the best grading most suitable to your purchase.
About Broken Beads
Rarely, but it happened, beads might be broken upon delivery. We do not send out any replacement beads or strand. Please take a picture showing us all broken pieces, we’ll proportionally credit the cost of broken pieces. Minor chips around the drill hole or edges and natural mineral cracks are not considered broken or damaged.
How Long is a Strand?
The length of a typical strand of temporarily strung beads or pearls is 16 inches.
However, when strung into a strand, not any size of beads can be strung up to exactly 16 inches. Sometimes a little bit longer, sometimes shorter. The 16 inches standard becomes flexible and getting shorter over the time. Now you can see length of 15.5", 15", 14" and 13", etc. They are all acceptable as a full strand. Another option is "half strand", usually available in 7", 7.5" or 8", etc.
The key point is that, no matter how long a strand actually is, the price is always for a strand as it is, rather than for any specific length. Length is never a pricing unit in beads trading. All length disclosure is for information only.
