Both the wool and the cotton I use have a superwash treatment, so you can wash it in the washing machine without any problem.
But my advice is to wash your clothes by hand with a mild soap.

I recommend dry cleaning or hand washing in cold water (or max. temperature 30ºC). Use soap for delicate garments. Never use whiteners or softeners. Drain excess water with a towel so that the garment does not stretch. Do not spin. Dry horizontally. With all that love, you will have a jewel that will pass from generation to generation.
