Antique Chinese jade pendant pale celadon color of rectangular shape with small ruby cabochon attached; the jade with background of boss design- small cylindrical raised circles; the jade pendant with pierced design of archaic style dragon; carving on front and back. Dragon meandering along the long side and across the top of jade piece. The small Iolite beads are accented with gilt Mauritanian silver beads and brass beads. The quality of the jade and the quality of the carving together with the radiant ruby make this a special piece.

Measurement: 1 3/8" wide, 2 1/2" long; cabochon 2/8" x 3/8 inches. With gold on sterling silver hook and eye closure specially made for us.

To clean stones the International Gem Society recommends to rinse gemstones in warm water, perhaps with mild soap and to dry it with a lint-free soft cloth; and to remember that a high Mohs score does not mean the stone is indestructible.

I have collected stones for many years on three continents and now design necklaces one piece at a time. No two are exactly alike.

I continue to find semiprecious stones, some from generations of family jewelers in countries like India and Afghanistan with whom I have dealt for many years. Everything is handmade and assembled in Austin, Texas. I have teamed up with a young local jeweler and stone cutter Zach of Rockcycled who mounts all the stones.
