Only one! Hand hammered sterling choker with five large (D1") and eleven smaller (D 1/2") gold plated pewter medallions specially made for us by artisanal artists, with two large pebble shape old rose quartz beads (ca. 1/2" long) and one mounted triangular shape mounted lapis, 1 1/4" x 3/4".

The choker measures ca. 5" in diameter; the medallions are arranged in five vertical rows with the longest pending 3 1/2" and the width of all five ca. 4". Choker with extender chain and spring ring closure. The longest pendant of medallions and lapis ca. 3 3/4" with extender chain and spring ring closure.

The word lapis is originally taken from the Persian for sky or heaven and is said to convey power, wisdom - and royalty. Rose quartz is said to ahve healing qualities, it is the stone for the heart and said to symbolize love!

Having collected stones for many years on three continents I now design necklaces one piece at a time. No two are exactly alike.

I continue to explore ideas for necklaces relating to my passion for some Asian countries. I continue to find semiprecious stones, some from generations of family jewelers in countries like India and Afghanistan with whom we have dealt for many years. Everything is handmade and assembled in Austin, Texas where I have teamed up with a young local jeweler and stone cutter who mounts all the stones.
