This ring is very special to me... I made it using my very favourite hammer – one that was first used over a century ago by a Dutch blacksmith and wagon maker. He lived in a small village in the Netherlands in the late 1800's and built wagons for the local farmers, using this hammer to shape the brass and copper ornaments he made for each wagon. Although his profession has slowly disappeared and his workshop has since turned into a car dealership, his hammer has survived – it was passed down the generations and kindly gifted to me when I began my journey as a silversmith. It is of course full of dings and dents, but that's the beauty of it: every time I use it, I transfer all these marks left by over a century of use to a new piece of jewellery, creating a fusion of old and new, a truly one-of-a-kind piece!

I make this ring entirely by hand from a sheet of sterling silver. It is around 3mm (1/8”) wide and the inside of the ring is highly polished to make it very comfortable to wear.

Every piece I make is hallmarked with my own unique mark (a tiny rose and my initials). In accordance with French law, this hallmark is registered with the national assay office, which is a guarantee of quality and ensures that the origin of this ring will always be traceable.

Awesome! Absolutely wonderful. I enjoyed this ring so much she helped make a men's trinity ring using this as an inspiration. Absolutely one of the best, friendliest, responsive, and talented sellers I ever encountered and the quality and workmanship is superior.I would give six stars if I could!!! Thank you for a most enjoyable and satisfying purchase.

The ring is unique, very interesting to look at. Its craters remind me of lichen textures. The ring arrived matte with a polishing cloth, I guess so the buyer could choose the desired level of shininess herself. Had to spent quite some time polishing it, honestly I'd prefer to have gotten already polished ring, because the one I see in etsy product photo seems quite polished.
