As a general rule, hand wash or machine wash gentle and hang dry. Individual pieces may have to be dry cleaned, ask for more information.

By placing a custom order with us, you are agreeing to the possibility that any patterns or designs may be reused, repurposed into other sets, integrated into new designs, or made available to purchase for other customers as is. We do not offer sewing patterns for our designs.

Based off of an artifact from the Zhouyu Mu tomb in the Jiangsu Province, the 曉風清 / XIAO FENG QING / CARDINAL set evokes the everyday elegance of masculine Song Dynasty clothing. The sleeves, collar, and belt of this set are made of imitation songjin fabric, a method of brocade weaving originating in the Song Dynasty that’s often used as trim for Chinese fans and purses today.

This is a two piece set consisting of the following:

交領長衫/JIAOLING CHANGSHAN/ROBE
Also known as the 直裰 / zhi2 duo1, the cross-collar robe was used as casualwear or an underlayer for Song Dynasty men. With extra long slightly flared-out sleeves, this robe’s shape and construction are based off the cross-collarrobe artifact found in the 周瑀墓 (zhou1 yu3 mu4) from the Southern Song Dynasty. As always, this robe includes hidden pockets on either side.

腰帶/YAODAI/WAIST TIE
Essentially a belt, the last piece of this set is a brocade belt that can be tied around the waist.
