Bricks! Burritos! Bifurcated fonts!
August 23, 2016
Since our last big update in July, we've been working hard to build more new things for Pattern, and to improve a bunch of the less-new things. As usual, this work was powered mostly by burritos. Mmm... Maybe we should name our next new theme Burrito.
In this release
New
- Meet Brick, our newest theme: It's a minimal, no-nonsense design that puts all the focus on your products. It comes complete with an animated category filter and a floating shopping cart button that'll stick with your shoppers as they scroll.
- Primary and secondary fonts: You can now choose a primary font for headers and a secondary font for all the smaller text.
Improved
- When you cancel your Pattern subscription, you can now keep using it for the rest of that billing cycle.
- We’ve added keyboard controls to the listing image zoom (left arrow, right arrow, ESC)
Fixed
- Some sellers in the EU couldn’t preview their Pattern dashboards.
- The Chevron theme didn't always show the Contact Us link in the footer.
- Mobile preview wasn't displaying accurate sizes.
- In the Chiffon and Mosaic themes, listings had an awkward amount of space at the top of the Shipping and Policies section.
- The Contact Us overlay had some misaligned listing text.
- Shipping and Policies text was partially obscured by the transparent header.
- The Chiffon theme's purchase confirmation text was also obscured by a transparent header.
- When adjusting the size of a browser window, the About text overlapped with the footer.
- The language settings button in the dashboard was misaligned.
- In the mobile view, the "Add featured listings" button was off-center.
- Vacation Mode text was disregarding line breaks. How rude.
- The Swatch theme's footer was cramped and overlapping on mobile.
- On tablets, the themes section wasn't scrolling.
- The search icon was misaligned in mobile preview.
