After more than 8 years as a graphic artist I happily left behind my career to stay at home to raise our precious son, Oliver. Unfortunately, a year and a half later my husband was notified that his teaching position of 10 years was being eliminated due to budget cuts. We panicked, we cried, we wondered what the future would hold for our little family that lives so frugally off this one salary.
We chose to see this as a blessing. A challenge. A new opportunity. A chance to tap into my creativity, my design experience, and my formal training in painting and drawing. I decided that if life was going to give us lemons... I would make Lemonade Design Studio.
{UPDATE!} Lemonade Design Studios is now 3 years old... my husband has a new teaching position at a new school, and I am blessed to have this little business and be doing what I absolutely love, while I stay home and raise our TWO boys (That's right, we added a little Elliot now, too!) ... it seems everything truly does happen for a reason!
