"Think calmly about what makes you happy and put it out there with deep intent and joy (reflect your inner happiness)"
BlueBird symbolizes happiness, joy, simple pleasures. Their spiritual meaning is that they are an angel messenger. Reflect on/upon is to think deeply or carefully about, give thought to, meditate on, to turn over in one's mind. In the bible the word Selah reminds us that taking time to pause calmly and "reflect" helps us find peace and calm as the storms of life rage around us.
I was inspired to create my own jewelry designs in 2006 because my mother bought me a beautiful aventurine necklace in Aruba and I wanted matching earrings. Aventurine aids in tranquility, patience and strengthens sense of self. After going to outdoor craft markets, dragging my little sister along with me, but not finding exactly what I was looking for, I went to the local craft store and I got hooked. I have always loved creating. I started out as an art major in college and eventually changed my career path but once you are an artist at heart, it whispers in your ear until you find your way back somehow! I love creating jewelry and hand stamping accessories and bookmarks (thank you to my sister in law, who asked me to make my first bookmark for her)! Every piece I make is made with tender loving care. I take pride in my work and I pay very close attention to detail. I am passionate about what I do and very much a people person. Besides art and creating, my husband, my 13 year old boy and my dogs are the biggest part of my Happy, Calm and Joy!
My work speaks of the love and respect that I have for nature and the materials that I work with.
I hope that one of my pieces will bring you to reflect on your inner happiness and make you smile!
