¡Hola! Mi nombre es Kelly y dirijo mi pequeña tienda casi solo. Todo está hecho a mano y viene directamente de mi pequeña sala de artesanías o taller de carpintería adjunto a mi granero. Estoy ubicado en las HERMOSAS orillas del lago Michigan aquí en Mitten. Estoy supervisado en la sala de manualidades por Squish, mi modelo siamés de 4 patas que verás en muchas fotos. Cuando estoy en el taller de carpintería, mis supervisores incluyen a Kevin, el gato naranja, o a Emmy, el calicó salvaje. O muy posiblemente, cualquiera de mis 3 Quarter Horses de la Fundación asomándose por la ventana: Alley Kat, Duck o TR. Ninguno es particularmente útil, ¡pero no les digas que dije eso!
Siempre he tenido un bicho creativo. Mi abuela me enseñó a coser a mano cuando era niña y aprendí a coser en una máquina como en una "prueba de fuego" en las máquinas de mi madre. Ahora tengo mis propias máquinas suizas para sobrehilar y coser. Espero tener una máquina para trabajar el cuero para 2024. Aprendí a hacer todo mi trabajo en madera casi por completo al ver a mi abuelo y papá hacer su trabajo. He recogido varios equipos antiguos y en su mayoría soy autodidacta. Me encanta armar mis propios proyectos, sin importar en qué tienda estoy o en qué proyecto me estoy metiendo. ¡Un cortador láser definitivamente está en mi lista de "cosas geniales para tener" algún día! Quizá necesite una tienda más grande...

Hello! My name is Kelly and I run my little shop pretty much solo. Everything is handmade and comes to you straight from my little glitter-filled craft room or woodshop attached to my barn. I am located on the BEAUTIFUL shores of Lake Michigan here in the Mitten. I am supervised in the craft room by Squish, my siamese 4-legged model you'll see in many photos. When out in the woodshop, my supervisors include Kevin the orange cat or Emmy the feral calico. Or quite possibly, any of my 3 Foundation Quarter Horses peeking in thru the window: Alley Kat, Duck or TR. None are particularly helpful, but don't tell them I said that!
I have always had a creative bug. My grandmother taught me to sew by hand as a little kid and I learned to sew on a machine kind of at "trial by fire" on my mom's machines. I have my own Swiss machines now for serging and sewing. I hope to have a leatherwork machine by 2024. I learned to do all of my woodwork nearly entirely by watching my grandpa and dad do their work. I have picked up several vintage pieces of equipment and am mostly self-taught. I love putting together my own projects, no matter what shop I'm in or what project I'm tearing into. A laser cutter is definitely on my "cool things to own" list one day! I might need a bigger shop....
