The Pursuit of the Permanent
Callidora takes its name from Greek Mythology, meaning 'Gift of Beauty.' For me, that beauty is found in the pursuit of the permanent.
With a BFA in Graphic Design, I was naturally drawn to the tactile nature of traditional letterpress. Shortly after receiving my degree, I discovered a 900lb antique printing press collecting dust in a garage and decided to give it a new home in my studio. From that first press, Callidora was born—a design boutique dedicated to combining traditional methods with luxurious materials.
Over the years, our North Shore studio became known for award-winning wedding stationery and bespoke commissions. I have always handled every step of the production process personally, ensuring complete control over the quality and discipline of every piece that leaves my hands.
Today, Callidora Letterpress & Design has evolved into Callidora Design House.
We have translated the soul of the letterpress—the focus on heritage proportions, organic textures, and visual calm—into a curated collection of The Archives. We are moving toward the intentional; creating hand-finished linens and digital blueprints designed to be heirlooms for the well-ordered home.
Whether it is a custom venue illustration or a household ledger, our mission remains the same: to elegantly design and exquisitely craft pieces that feel less like paper and more like beautiful, enduring gifts.
