Let me help you tell your story
A veces, creo que estoy inquieto.... cada vez que mi hermano visita mi casa, siempre comenta: "¿Te mudaste de nuevo?" Naturalmente, no me moví; Siempre me gusta reorganizar mis muebles y decorar mi casa con diferentes cosas. Tengo tantas ideas en mi mente, por lo que la decoración de mi hogar está cambiando constantemente, ya sea con diferentes artículos que he hecho yo mismo o incluso cosas interesantes que acabo de encontrar en el mercado de pulgas.
Mis lugares favoritos para comprar son tiendas de antigüedades, tiendas de segunda mano y mercados de pulgas porque encuentro cosas tan interesantes allí ... cosas que algunas personas podrían considerar "extrañas", pero cosas que yo veo de manera diferente.
Todavía recuerdo cuando adquirí mi primer artículo antiguo. Mi suegra me reprendió por traer "basura" a casa, preguntándome por qué pagaría por las cosas que la gente descartaba. Sin embargo, siempre vi estos llamados artículos "basura" desde una perspectiva diferente. En lugar de ver estos elementos tal cual, veo su potencial. A través de este punto de vista, sé cómo "reciclarlos", cómo decorarlos, cómo "reutilizarlos". Al ver lo que hago con estos artículos, ¡la gente comienza a apreciarlos y comentar lo interesantes que son los artículos!
Ahora mi casa está decorada con muchos artículos "únicos". Al colocar estratégicamente estos artículos alrededor de mi casa, la gente comienza a preguntar cómo los adquirí, o preguntan la historia detrás de los artículos. La genuina curiosidad e interés en mis artículos reciclados o reutilizados me animaron a comenzar mi viaje con mi tienda de Etsy, 'Chapter65'
¿Por qué Chapter65?
Elegí "capítulo" porque creo que todos tienen muchos capítulos en las historias de sus vidas. El día que nacimos, el día que hablamos por primera vez, el día que empezamos a caminar, el día que fuimos por primera vez a la escuela, hasta el día en que terminamos nuestro viaje en la vida... todos tenemos nuestras propias historias, y cada capítulo contiene algo especial, algo nuevo. Creo que algunos aspectos de nuestras historias se pueden contar a través de los artículos interesantes que poseemos, y a través de mi tienda, quiero ayudarte a contar tu historia.
Cada uno tiene su "capítulo" para agregar a su historia, ¿cuál es la tuya?
At times, I think i’m restless…. whenever my brother visits my house, he always comments, “you moved again?” Naturally, I didn’t move; I just always like to rearrange my furniture, and decorate my house with different things. I have so many ideas in my mind, so the decoration in my home is constantly changing, either with different item that I’ve made myself or even interesting things I just find at the flea market.
My favorite places to shop are antique stores, thrift stores, and flea markets because I find such interesting things there… things that some people might consider “strange”, but things that I see differently.
I still remember when I acquired my first antique item. My mother in law chastised me for bringing “junk” home, asking me why I would pay for things people discarded. However, I always viewed these so-called “junk” items from a different perspective. Instead of seeing these items as-is, I see their potential. Through this point of view, I know how to “re-upcycle” them, how to decorate them, how to “re-purpose” them. Seeing what I do with these items, people begin to appreciate them and comment on how interesting the items are!
Now my home is decorated with many “unique” items. By strategically placing these items around my home, people begin to ask how I acquired them, or they ask the history behind the items. The genuine curiosity and interest in my re-upcycled or re-purposed items encouraged me to begin my journey with my Etsy shop, ‘Chapter65”
Why Chapter65?
I chose “chapter” because I believe everyone has so many chapters to the stories of their lives. The day we were born, the day we first spoke, the day we began to walk, the day we first went to school, until the day we finish our journey in life… we all have our own stories, and each chapter holds something special, something new. I believe that some aspects of our stories can be told through the interesting items we own, and through my shop, I want to help you tell your story.
