How my Red Swatch shop was born
La mia idea di avviare un negozio Etsy è nata per caso. Un giorno ho avuto una conversazione informale con la mia super talentuosa cognata, che produce incredibili trapunte di alta qualità e tutti i tipi di prodotti cuciti. Abbiamo discusso di come può vendere alcune delle sue creazioni. Ho già sentito parlare di Etsy, quindi ho deciso di esplorarlo ulteriormente per lei. Poi ho avuto una scintilla.
Mentre ero tra un lavoro e l'altro, perché non aprire un negozio per me stesso e vendere ciò che amo fare - creare articoli stampabili.
Mi sono sempre piaciute tutte le cose stampate. In questa era digitale, in cui, il più delle volte, leggiamo tutti notizie online ed e-book digitali, per me, niente batte tenere tra le mani un pezzo di carta stampata o un biglietto o sfogliare un vero libro o una rivista.
Fu allora che nacque il mio negozio Red Swatch.
E recentemente ho scoperto la gioia di vedere i miei disegni stampati su tessuto. Durante la quarantena Covid-19, ho cucito alcune maschere per il viso, alcune delle quali con i miei disegni stampati su tessuto a Spoonflower. Da allora ho iniziato a cucire altri articoli divertenti che presto saranno disponibili presso il mio negozio.
La maggior parte delle mie ispirazioni arrivano durante lunghe passeggiate o passeggiate in campagna. Schizzo e disegno prima su carta, o uso le mie fotografie per ricrearlo al computer.

My idea of starting an Etsy shop happened by chance. One day I had a casual conversation with my super talented sister-in-law, who makes amazing beautiful high quality quilts and all kinds of sewn products. We discussed how she can sell some of her creations. I've heard of Etsy before, so I've decided to explore it further for her. Then I had a spark.
While I was between jobs, why not set up a shop for myself and sell what I love to do - to create printable items.
I've always liked all things printed. In this digital age, when, more often than not, we all read online news and digital e-books, for me, nothing beats holding a piece of printed paper or a card in my hands or flipping through a real book or a magazine.
That's when my Red Swatch shop came to be.
And recently I've discovered the joy of seeing my designs printed on fabric. During the Covid-19 quarantine, I've sewn few face masks, some of them with my designs printed on fabric at Spoonflower. Since then I started sewing other fun item soon to be available at my shop.
Most of my inspirations come during long walks or rides in the country side. I sketch and draw on paper first, or use my photographs to recreate it on computer.
