Coloring as a hobby and an art form
In 2017 waagde ik de sprong in het diepe en besloot ik me fulltime op mijn kunst te richten. Ik hou van lijnen trekken. Mijn oude illustratie-instructeur zou ineenkrimpen als hij me dat hoorde zeggen (omdat hij wilde dat ik me op vorm concentreerde), maar dat is wat ik graag doe. Lijntekeningen zijn natuurlijk perfect voor kleurboeken. En raad eens? Ik leerde dat ik bijna net zoveel van het kleurproces hield als van het ontwerpproces zelf.
Nadat ik een verzameling illustraties voor mijn eerste boek had voltooid, heb ik elke illustratie opgeslagen als een vectorafbeelding in zwart-wit en als een versie met 40% grijstinten om als digitale downloads aan te bieden. Ik heb momenteel twee handgemaakte Artist Edition-boeken, zowel spiraalgebonden als gedrukt op stevig karton, beschikbaar in mijn Etsy-winkel voor een beperkte tijd. Ik heb ook de Ruby Charm Colors Adult Coloring Art Journals (Volumes 1 & 2) online beschikbaar. Mijn digitale downloads op Etsy zijn altijd beschikbaar voor jouw kleurplezier!

In 2017 I took a leap of faith and decided to focus on my artwork full time. I love drawing lines. My old illustration instructor would wince if he heard me say that (since he wanted me to focus on form), but it's what I love to do. Line drawings, of course, are perfect for coloring books. And guess what? I learned that I loved the process of coloring almost as much as the design process itself.
After completing a collection of illustrations for my first book, I saved each illustration as a vector graphic in black and white as well as a 40% greyscale version to offer as digital downloads. I currently have two hand-made Artist Edition books, both spiral-bound and printed on sturdy card stock, available in my Etsy shop for a limited time. I also have the Ruby Charm Colors Adult Coloring Art Journals (Volumes 1 & 2) available online. My digital downloads on Etsy will always be available for your coloring enjoyment!
