A natural evolution.
I am a tinker...I make things all the time. I have always made things. I started when I was really really young. I started with markers, paper, and glue. Moved into working with clay, and fabric, and paint. I took every single art class my high school offered, and nearly every art class in college! Metalsmithing was introduced to me and so opened up an ever expanding world. I am still as interested now as I was when I first began exploring the medium. Opening Ruby Pierce Jewelry has just been a natural evolution of my life. I find a deep satifaction in making meaingful jewelry for people to wear.
It has been a special thing for me to be a part in my customers story of marriage. Banging out these wedding bands from the same metal makes me feel like I am really connecting them on some elemental level. Helping to forge their bond. Crafting an engagement ring is especially exciting for me, as it represents such love and promise! When I handmake each piece of jewelry I can't help but daydream about what meaning it will have to its person. I feel like with any and all pieces of jewelry I make I am creating a connection. Whether it be between two people, or bridging the gap between the earth and physical body. Gold and silver are amazing conductors of energy, I like to keep the vibration high! I seek out and find quality sources for my natural diamonds, gemstones, and recycled metals. Being ethically and socially responsible is of the highest importance to me. We should all do what we can with what we are doing, right?
I truely enjoy making all these pieces of jewelry. I love to share, and I love to work! Please drop me a line and let's create!!
