The Story Behind Willow & Wave ✨
Hallo, ich bin Jenn.
Willow & Wave entstand in einer der schwierigsten Phasen meines Lebens. Innerhalb von zwei Jahren verlor ich meinen Bruder Kenny und meinen Vater – zwei Menschen, die nicht nur zentral für mein Leben waren, sondern auch einen großen Teil meiner Identität ausmachten. Für sie da zu sein, sie zu lieben und mich um sie zu kümmern, hatte mich so lange geprägt, dass ich mich nach ihrem Tod fragte, wer ich ohne sie überhaupt noch sei.
Mitten in all diesem Herzschmerz veränderte meine Schwester Michele unwissentlich den Lauf meines Lebens, als sie mir in einer kleinen Boutique ein Kleid reichte und sagte: „Das passt perfekt zu dir.“
Sie kannte mich gut genug, um etwas in mir zu erkennen, das ich selbst vergessen hatte.
Es war das schönste Kleid, das ich je gesehen hatte.
Ich brachte es mit nach Hause, und es hing fast ein Jahr lang in meinem Schrank. Ich habe es nie getragen. Ich habe es nicht einmal anprobiert.
Doch ich konnte es nicht loslassen.
Eines Tages begann ich zu recherchieren, woher es stammte und wer die Kunsthandwerker waren, die es herstellten. Was als Neugierde begann, wurde zu einer Leidenschaft, und aus dieser Leidenschaft entstand Willow & Wave.
Heute werden unsere Kleider von talentierten Kunsthandwerkern in Indien handgefertigt und mit Bedacht für Frauen zusammengestellt, die sich schön, selbstbewusst und ganz sie selbst fühlen möchten.
Meine Schwester Michele war meine erste Finanzinvestorin, und wenn sie mir dieses Kleid nicht ausgesucht hätte, gäbe es Willow & Wave vielleicht nicht.
Und mein Bruder Kenny inspiriert mich weiterhin jeden Tag. Seine Kreativität, seine Ermutigung und sein Glaube an mich haben dazu beigetragen, den Traum hinter Willow & Wave zu formen.
Aus Verlust entstand Sinn.
Aus den Trümmern entstand Willow & Wave.

Hi, I'm Jenn.
Willow & Wave was born during one of the most difficult chapters of my life. Within two years, I lost my brother Kenny and my father—two people who were not only central to my life, but a big part of my identity. Caring for them, loving them, and showing up for them had been part of who I was for so long that when they were gone, I found myself wondering who I was without them.
In the middle of all that heartbreak, my sister Michele unknowingly changed the course of my life when she handed me a dress in a small boutique and said, "This is so you."
She knew me well enough to recognize something in me that I had forgotten myself.
It was the prettiest dress I had ever seen.
I brought it home, and it sat in my closet for nearly a year. I never wore it. I never even tried it on.
Yet I couldn't let it go.
One day, I began researching where it came from and the artisans who made it. What started as curiosity became a passion, and that passion became Willow & Wave.
Today, our dresses are handcrafted by talented artisans in India and curated with intention for women who want to feel beautiful, confident, and completely themselves.
My sister Michele was my first financial investor, and if she hadn't picked out that dress for me, Willow & Wave might not exist.
And my brother Kenny continues to inspire me every day. His creativity, encouragement, and belief in me helped shape the dream behind Willow & Wave.
Out of loss came purpose.
Out of the rubble came Willow & Wave.
