This Chicken Pattern is a 10" or 12" square quilt block pattern which you can make using the Foundation Paper Piecing Method of sewing. It was the April Animal for the Kohatu Patterns Farm Animal Quilt Along. It looks great in a range of colours when used as part of a larger quilt, on a bag or cushion. Delight your chook fancier with it!

The pattern includes:
- 2 sets of coloured templates for a right and left facing chook.
- Instructions for resizing the block by photocopying or to scale.
- Black and White Colouring Sheets
- Written instructions for putting the templates together.

You are allowed to use this pattern to make and sell at markets and online or to display on social media or blogs. Where appropriate it is always appreciated when credit is given to Kohatu Patterns and or a link to my blog, but it's not a requirement.

Each of my patterns has been developed with care and tested by multiple people. However, if you find a mistake in one of my patterns, please send me an email containing a photo of the mistake or detailed description (page number and problem) within 30 days of your original purchase. I will not only refund your purchase, but will also provide you with another pattern free of charge as well as a corrected copy of the pattern you originally purchased when it becomes available.

It's not a mistake. Most of my patterns are Foundation Pieced Patterns and Fabric requirements can vary greatly depending on your technique, experience and level of skill.
I have found that most people like to use scraps from their stash or Fat Quarters to make smaller Foundation Pieced blocks.
Large Patterns and Patterns that are not Foundation Pieced will have a list fabric requirements.

The item you have purchased is digital in nature. I highly recommend you download it immediately after purchase and save a copy of this file to your computer for future use. However if something goes wrong and for some reason you can no longer access your pattern, email me with a copy of your receipt, date of purchase or Etsy order number and I will send you another copy as soon as I can.

Such an excellent pattern! This was my second time to ever use a paper piece pattern. The pattern and instructions are very easy to work with. I resized it to 16” and will be using it to make a pillow for my mother in law.
