A detailed crochet pattern for a gorgeous faux pleated panelled skirt that can be made in any size, to any flare and any length.
This is for a crochet pattern, not for the actual skirt pictured, but a detailed pattern on how to make it yourself.
The size is determined by waist measurement. This pattern can be made for a baby right up to adult sizes. Flare and length can be also adjusted to suit your preferences.
The pattern includes multiple files.:
1. the first one is 14 pages, full colour and includes multiple diagrams and charts.
2. The second is 7 pages, black and white with no pictures or charts and for those who wish to conserve printer ink or are more experienced and happy to work with simple written instructions.
3. your own Personal Stitch Count Tracker sheet for keeping a record of your personal version row and stitch counts.
The pattern is flexible and can work with a wide variety of gauges. It lends itself well to colour-work and stripes.
The top-down design makes it easy to try on and adjust as you go. If you make it in a DK or Worsted weight yarn it makes up very fast, especially when making for that super cute toddler age.
It is also a very popular gift.
MATERIALS
I Recommend 8 ply (DK), Sport (5 ply) or Fingering (4 ply) yarn but it can be made in any yarn you like. Cotton or wool are great choices, as is acrylic or blends. Roughly 400 - 500 yards are required for smaller sizes, making it an ideal stash buster or small quick project.
Choose your hook size according to your yarn. I used a 3.75mm for my sample.
Large sewing needle, suitable for darning in ends.
