This is one of my favorite pieces to build and admire. It is made from card stock and colored gloss gold. It is mounted with a brass rod and 3/4 inch brass tube which can be used for real and artificial trees. Every edge of this 10 inch diameter stellation of the icosidodecahedron hand cut, scored, and assembled. There is no interior structure, there is only the dazzling shell. It's models like this that first stirred my interest in Geometry and inspired me to make these amazing pieces. It is Geometry that lends gives it one of its most alluring features. When the light hits it just right, groups of faces will light up. One such alignment causes a five point star to shine. Since it is a complete, solid star, these alignments and the beautiful symmetries can be enjoyed from all angles.
