This first UK edition of Spring Comes Riding by Betty Cavanna was published by Lutterworth Press in 1952.
The five Sanderson sisters were absorbed in school and riding but Meg felt the odd one out as she could make friends easily with horses but not with people.
Betty Cavanna also wrote as Elizabeth Headley and Betsy Allen. She was nominated for the Edgar Award for Best Juvenile Fiction in 1970 and 1972.
Green boards with black title to spine. Beautiful colour frontis. 192 pages.
Very good condition with some faint stains on the first page underneath an award bookplate. Dustwrapper has some chipping around the edges.
