GICLEES are a type of "high quality fine art print' which is so well done, side by side you can't tell which is the original. They began in the 90's. Giclees outdo all the lithographs/seriographs of the past. They can be on archival paper or canvas, and use archival ink.

The 24" x 36" size does not come with a mat (or frame).

Two types of giclees are being offered, one on stretched canvas and one on archival paper. The original was accepted into a juried show by St. Louis Watercolor Society, a very big honor.

FIRST giclee is on archival paper. ARTIST PREFERS A BLACK MAT to make the colors pop but you get to choose the mat color. It comes with a double mat & foam-cored backing, ready to frame in your standard-sized frame under glass.

SECOND giclee is on stretched canvas with no mat. The staples are on the side so it should be framed. It frames like an oil painting (not under glass) in a 12" x 16" which is a standard-sized frame, although not as popular as a 16" x 20" size frame.

Both giclees (shzee-clays) are being offered unframed, but include foam-core backing plus a mat. They are shipped in a clear cellophane bag for protection until you frame it.
