Pirate Pants are super comfy lounge pants (with plenty of room for a cloth nappy) and designed with no elastic for maximum comfort.

These pants are adjusted to fit many sizes by folding up/down the cuffs and waistband as needed and fit from approx 6 months-ish to 4 years-ish.

SIZING:
Hatchlings Pirate Pants are sized to fit from around 6 months to around 4 years. As babies/toddlers/children come in many shapes and sizes, please treat the ages given as a guide and note that you may have to adjust the pattern to get the perfect fit on your child.

SUITABLE FABRICS:
Any knit fabric with crosswise stretch (that stretches one way, across the width of the fabric) can be used for this pattern, although best results are achieved if a cotton/lycra or cotton/spandex blend knit is used for the waistband and leg cuffs, and a cotton interlock for the main body of the pants. Wool interlock can also be used successfully.

Fabric : 1/2 meter main fabric

1/2 meter contrast fabric (for waistband and leg cuffs)

Love this pattern after having used the free one for the baby. It takes me longer to set my serger up than the make these pants .. love them. plenty of space for re-usable nappies and the cuffs seem nice too.
