10-Gore Midi Skirt with Godets PDF Sewing Pattern | AU Sizes 6–12

Create your own romantic 10-gore midi skirt featuring delicate inserted godets, a clean faced waist and a centre-back invisible zip.

Originally designed by Ella Victoria, this pattern combines a fitted waist and upper hip with ten individual gore panels that open into godets through the lower skirt, creating beautiful movement, texture and fullness through the hem.

The photographed sample is made from white linen with vintage cotton lace godets, but the design can be interpreted in your own choice of woven fabrics.

SKILL LEVEL

Confident Beginner / Intermediate

This pattern is suitable for sewists who are comfortable using a sewing machine and following a multi-step garment pattern.

SIZES

Australian sizes 6, 8, 10 and 12.

Ella Victoria sizing is based on Australian womenswear sizing. Please choose your size using the body measurement chart included in the listing and instruction booklet rather than relying only on your usual ready-to-wear size.

Both centimetre and inch measurements are included in the instruction booklet for international customers.

RECOMMENDED FABRICS

Choose a light-to-midweight woven fabric with soft-to-moderate drape.

• Similar woven apparel fabrics

Godet fabric:

Choose a lightweight fabric with enough drape to fall softly between the gore panels.

Suitable options include:

• Lace
• Embroidered tulle
• Voile
• Lightweight woven fabrics

The photographed sample uses 100% linen with vintage 100% cotton lace godets.

MATERIALS

You will need:

• Main woven fabric
• Godet fabric
• Optional lightweight fusible woven interfacing
• 1 x 25 cm / 9.8" invisible zip
• Matching sewing thread

PRINTING

A0, A4 and US Letter pattern files are included.

Home-print files should be printed at 100% / Actual Size. Always print and measure the test square before printing the complete pattern.

The layered PDF allows you to hide unwanted sizes and print only the size or sizes you need, making overlapping pattern lines easier to read.

The instruction booklet also includes guidance for assembling the tiled home-print pattern.
